First International Workshop on Cyber Threat Intelligence (WCTI)

This week, the first International Workshop on Cyber Threat Intelligence (WCTI 2018) took place in Hamburg, Germany. The event was founded by our lab to bring together the community of researchers and practioners, and provide a platform for exchange of ideas on cyber threat intelligence.

Although being a new event, WCTI attracted 40 participants from academia, industry and government, who discussed in a round table latest innovations, big challenges and future directions in cyber threat intelligence. Kas Clark from the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) in the Netherlands presented the NCSC's process of creating and managing threat intelligence at the national level and best practices to create incentives for intelligence exchange. Three talks showed innovations in modeling situational awareness information as well as insights from the field into the integration of CTI into an organization's risk management process.
