Adnan Kadric

PhD Candidate
in the Cyber Threat Intelligence Lab

My PhD research explores cybersecurity and resilience in municipalities. To understand the specific challenges faced by municipalities, I employ social studies and qualitative research methods, analyzing human factors, decision-making processes, and organizational structures to develop tailored cybersecurity solutions.
Additionally, I investigate crisis communication, examining how governments and organizations can effectively manage and convey critical information during cyber incidents or natural disasters.
My work also delves into AI and misinformation, exploring the role of artificial intelligence in amplifying false narratives and the impact for the society.

Driven by the desire to contribute to the society, my research aims to bridge the gap between cybersecurity theory and real-world municipal challenges. By integrating technical resilience with qualitative research and human-centered approaches, I strive to develop cybersecurity strategies that are not only effective but also practical, inclusive, and adaptable to the unique needs of municipalities and their communities.
