PhD Candidate
in the Cyber Threat Intelligence Lab
I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the Hasso Plattner Institute under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Christian Doerr. My research is focused on analyzing the evolving threat landscape in the healthcare sector over the past two decades by examining public and private data sources on cyberattacks against hospitals. This research aims to identify patterns, assess vulnerabilities, develop strategies to enhance the resilience of healthcare institutions against cyber threats, and contribute to the scientific discourse on improving cybersecurity in critical infrastructures.
Before joining HPI, I gained extensive experience in cybersecurity and risk management. I worked for several years at the University Hospital Jena in information security management and research. I hold a Master's degree in IT Security from TU Darmstadt and a Bachelor's degree in Practical Computer Science, where I combined theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience in real-world security challenges.
Through my research and professional experience, I am dedicated to advancing cybersecurity in the healthcare sector and beyond. My goal is to develop innovative approaches to safeguarding sensitive medical data and critical IT systems, ensuring that healthcare providers can operate securely in an increasingly digitalized world.
